It is the passing of the old year
That breathes afresh the days of the new.
It is the death of yesterday
That lightens up a new life for tomorrow.
It is the hope and promise for a world of justice and peace
In the year of Our Lord two thousand and eleven.
It is the joy in the eyes of the youngs
And the delights in the heart of the olds.
