Surprises

One of the most beautiful thing in a good relationship with the Triune God are the many surprises He can pull off in the most unexpected moments in your life. These are surprises that fascinate the soul, touch the core of your being with a joy that no material thing could ever provide.

Questions

Oftentimes asking the right questions provides more answers than making assumptions that you understand what's being said. It is a fact of psychology that we seldom fully understand what we hear or read. We simply try to make sense of the message through the eyes of our presumptions. Most of human relationships fail because of this.

Relationship and Trials

Sometimes when a relationship is in extreme trial, all you can hold on are the memories of those happy moments in time and the faith of the constant love of the other. This is easier in a relationship between persons where presence is mediated with the senses. It is much more difficult in a person's relationship with God; all the soul has to do is to follow that darkness with only the faith of God's love providing a glimmering light.

Expectations

Foolish and unreasonable expectations do more damage than good to both the person expecting and to the one expected as well as the relationship between both. If you have full trust on someone, you don't need to expect. Simply trust and let the trusted be.

Parents

We do not respect and honor our parents because we have not disagreed with them in the past or in the present. We do not respect and honor them because they have been perfect in their behaviors as parents and human beings. We respect and honor them simply for the reason that we are their children and they are our parents. Asking beyond that will be in the realms of graces from God, which are way beyond our control. We simply have to thank them for making our existence possible, and for allowing us to even know the difference.

Letting Go

Breaking up and letting go are easiest when the bond is between a receiver and a valued gift than between an owner and a valued property.
