Facing the Wind

Encountering oppositions and criticisms can mean that we have at last taken a stand worthy of our gifts. But what we need to be careful about in facing the strong winds in our lives is the temptation to forget that we stood strong and tall against the elements not on our own strength but through the grace of God that works in us. Forgetting this truth will make the triumph against the wind as meaningless as our fall before it. For either way does not make us closer to the God who loves us endlessly.

Rain

Even with heavy rains pouring on you, you can choose to feel burdened or rejoice. There are always valid reasons either way.

Relationship and Trials

Sometimes when a relationship is in extreme trial, all you can hold on are the memories of those happy moments in time and the faith of the constant love of the other. This is easier in a relationship between persons where presence is mediated with the senses. It is much more difficult in a person's relationship with God; all the soul has to do is to follow that darkness with only the faith of God's love providing a glimmering light.

Concern

Our highest concern is not our concern, but of Him who can satisfy it. It never was, nor have we the power to solve it.

Trials and Blessings

Sometimes when it rains, it really pours down so hard it floods the gates, or barge into the life of those who happen to receive it.

Disaster

Whatever disaster you are in right now, it will not last forever. Nothing ever does. And if it does get worse, that can only happen if you let it.
