Death and Living

Sometimes people so feared death they never realized they have given up living. [A quote from " Second Chances ," in the blog At the End of the Day ]

Passion

Passions are designed to wake up mankind to its enormous strength. Their sometimes blinding strength demand that man need to be stronger in order to tame passions. Should he let his passions rule over him, his life will be wasted in servility to his most basic of instincts. Should he take the challenge to demand submission from his passions, he will learn what being a child of God is all about. [ Passion Rules Reason by Deviant Art]

Life and Reality

Each time we look at life as the only thing that is real, we tend to treat life as a means to satisfy all our senses because tomorrow may never come. [A quote from my new book, Got 2 Go! My Call Just Came In (2011)]

Mistakes

Few mistakes have finality to it. Most of the time, you can shake your head, and then continue making new choices. Just make sure you have done your best in each choice. Greater regrets will hit you otherwise.

Truth and Assent

Just because you don't agree, it does not mean that truth ceases to be.

Challenges and Storms

Sometimes dealing with challenges like bamboos dealing with a storm is wise. But there are times when you have to meet the storm head on, give all you have even your life to break through, and stay on the difficult course until the storm passes you by. The same thing is true in certain seasons of life. (Photo courtesy of Reuter UK )

Faith and Destination

Faith is going where God wants you to go, without having to know where you are going to.

Patience

Patience makes fishing possible. Unwavering patience eventually wear your problems down, and scares your troubles away.

Death

Every fact can be reinterpreted. Every ending can be changed. Books and stories, yes! Not death.

Disaster and Goodness

Many times disasters make better people than times of peace. Only while facing the enormous forces of nature, where human technology and power cannot even begin to stop it, can we better understand our need for God... and our need of each other. (Photo courtesy of Telegraph )

Stake

The stake is always very high when losses are counted in lives.

Free Will

Even among those who said, "It is not my fault; the devil made me do," there is no excuse. Each person has freedom of will, to say "Yes" or "No!" to the Tempter. No action can be made without that ultimate choice to go for a sin or crime or not. Whatever he does, a person is culpable for everything he does, whether or not a struggle to exercise his will precedes the action or not.

Revelation

Those who do not believe that God speaks to His people today will never hear Him even through the words He spoke yesterday.

Suffering

Only through suffering, through the Passion, can we advance along the road to sanctity and divine union. There is no other way but the way of the Cross.

Starting

Even if we think we can, we cannot start all over again. We can change direction. But we must start where we are--right here, right now.

Meaning

With all our minds consumed in the demands of daily life and responsibilities with our family and the communities we serve, we can easily forget that all these things achieve meaning only in Christ Jesus. All of these mean nothing withouth Christ. All of these people and things, including ourselves, are mere passing creations on  earth who in time will return to dust where we came from. Only God makes this life meaningful and worth living amidst its triumphs and defeats.

Peace, Justice and Truth

Peace can be achieved even without justice. But peace will not last without the truth.

Forgetfulness

The people who forgets those who commit corruption in their midst will eventually be forgotten as corruption overtakes the people themselves.

Truth Or Lie

It is difficult to distinguish between the truth and the lie, especially when you have lived a lie that you have come to believe as the truth. (Photo courtesy of Discover Magazine )

Beauty and Choices

Watching the kindness and honesty of children interacting with fellow children and adults, you cannot fail to appreciate the goodness that God created the world with. Looking at adults cutting corners, and even employ violence, to serve their personal objectives, you will realize the horrific choices people can make in their lives.
